About Orange County Criminal History

Orange County criminal records are divided among police agencies, the Sheriff, local and superior courts, the New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services, DOCCS, and the New York State Sex Offender Registry. We built this private reference resource to make those lines easier to follow. The goal is to connect a reader with the correct official portal, records counter, request form, or phone number without treating unlike records as though they came from one database.

Why We Built This Site

New York provides several lawful routes to justice records, but no single route answers every question. Orange County Jail controls local custody information. The creating police agency keeps its incident report. City Court or Orange Supreme and County Court records the case, while the County Clerk supplies filed superior-court copies. DCJS maintains fingerprint-linked state history, DOCCS handles prison and parole information, and the New York State Sex Offender Registry follows its own access rules. We organize the verified contacts, official links, fees, and request steps for those separate offices.

An official copy must come from the office that maintains it, such as the court, Sheriff, police agency, County Clerk, or DCJS. We only identify the appropriate route.
